CONVID-19 & T&C's

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. For the health and wellbeing of you our clients, your friends and family and also the EVOLUTION:MAN team and their friends and family we need to continue to help minimise infection risk.

We’ve have missed being able to offer you the treatments that we  know you love, and we are looking forward to seeing you again.

Our priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening the salon we have implemented a number of changes which we would like to make you aware of. During the time the salon has been shut, our Managing Director has completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry, since then all staff have had Cornoavirus awareness training. Their certificate is available for you to see at each workstation. We have since made a number of changes in the way that we operate that you will notice when you next visit.

Booking Appointments

To help minimise infection between staff the shop telephone will only be handled by one person, to keep our treatment costs as low as possible we have always operated an unmanned reception desk, therefore more than ever we're asking all clients to book ON-LINE.  If you do call the shop, PLEASE LEAVE A MASSAGE and we will call you back the same day.  Please DO NOT keep calling us. The member of staff that has the phone will also be seeing clients for appointments.

If you are particularly venerable and require assistance please tell us in the notes section of your on-line booking or telephone us in advance. We have spaced out appointments throughout our working day into the early evening to help accommodate work shift patterns and venerable clients.

We ask you to re-confirm your reservation 24 hours before your appointment using the link we send you in an e-mail. This helps confirm how many people are going to be on-site at anyone time and also confirms you or someone in your home doesn't have symptoms of COVID-19.

If any of our staff feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately and not come into the salon. This may mean that we have to cancel your appointment at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled your deposit will be refunded and you'll be able to re-book again once it's safe to do so.

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.

Visiting the Salon

For your safety and to maintain social distancing, we ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving.  We have less appointments available due to the increase in cleaning time so please be patient.  If you are early please wait in your car, if arriving by public transport you can use the seating area to wait outside the shop.  The reception area should only be used if it's raining. Reception are chairs have been spaced 2 meters apart.

Please come on your own, friends or family should wait in your car.  1 adult should accompany a child for a hair cut in the normal way, you'll just be asked to sit 2 meters apart from the barber.

We have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon including making sure that common surfaces, door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products regularly.

All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.

Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.

If you've booked a hair cut we'll use disposable capes or change the cape we use with each client and wash them inline with our COVID-19 policy.

You will have access to soap and hot water to wash your hands with as soon as you enter the salon and we will also have hand sanitiser available for you to use when you come into the salon.  Please follow the signs and sanitise your hands on entry and exit of the shop using the hand sanitiser provided.

We are asking all clients to wear a face mask for their treatment, please bring one with you or we can provide one for £1. If you wish to wear disposable gloves when you visit the salon and during your treatment we will not take offence.

Our staff will be using personal protective equipment (PPE) during your visit and during your treatment. This may include disposable gloves / facemasks / aprons where appropriate.

We can confirm that the laundering of salon towels and uniforms is a priority we can assure you that all salon laundry is washed at 60 degrees C

All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area between appointments, as required or at the end of each day.

We will re-confirm your contact information we hold on file to ensure that it's correct for the purposes of the Governments track and trace system.

We've also removed our complimentary drinks and sweets so please bring a bottle of water with you if needed.

Our treatments

We have carried out a risk assessment on all treatments and have decided that the following treatments cannot be provided until further notice.

During your treatment

Each member of staff (including Barbers) has been placed in their own room with lots of light and ventilation.

As COVID-19 is spread in the air, please don't worry if we don't talk to you alot. As per the Government guidelines, we're trying to keep talking to a minimum to minimise any cross-contamination. Our music will also be turned down so when we need to talk to you we don't have to raise our voices.

Our staff understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that we wash our hands in according with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.

We will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments please let us know and we will do what we can to assist you.

After the treatment

In order to avoid handling of cash, we would prefer if you could pay for your treatment by card. Contactless payments are now accepted up to £45. We will ask that you pay for your treatment and book the next appointment in the same room where you've had your treatment, our reception area has been transformed into a socially distanced waiting area if it's raining.

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and that of our staff. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.

Thanks you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you soon.
